UCSB PhD's in Action.

Members of the Society for American Archaeology will soon be casting their votes to fill several positions on the executive committee. Of the 13 candidates, two are UCSB graduates. Kenneth Kvamme (PhD 1983) is running for Treasurer-Elect. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at Boston University. Margaret Nelson (PhD 1981) is running for an Executive Board Position. She is an Associate Professor at SUNY-Buffalo.

The AGSA Newsletter is a quarterly publication of the Anthropology Graduate Student Association and is edited by Carleen Sanchez. Articles, announcements, letters to the editor, or other information for inclusion are especially welcome and can be sent via email to 6500car@ucsbuxa. Contributors are strongly recommended to submit lengthy material by disk (in any format).

The AGSA Newsletter is provided free of charge to all UCSB Anthropology Graduate Students and Faculty. An electronic version will be available on gopher in the near future. Items that appear in the Newsletter reflect the views of the authors and publication does not imply AGSA endorsement.
