Multucultural Land Management and Resource use in the Cleveland National Forest

Nathan will share slides, information and ideas relating to research done for the Forest Service and the Southern California Indian basketweaving community. The primary aim of research was to identify and locate basketry materials in the Cleveland National Forest. Included will be a discussion of the ecological effects of gathering on basketry resources, and recommendations for improving communication between the Forest Service and Native Californian and Native Mexican Indian basketweavers.
