Development projects in Tijuana: What do we hope to accomplish?

By Nancy L. Williams

Four NGO's, with the assistance of environmentalists, teachers, artists, students, and other professionals have been working together for several years with members of a colonia in Tijuana, Mexico with the hope of generating greater opportunity for healthful living. This talk examines community reactions, problems that have surfaced, and methods being used dealing with the ongoing and ever-evolving strategy for reaching a condition of zero-pollution/zero-poverty.
