This site, excavated in 1989, sits on a small sand ridge that jutted out into the former lake. In both the Late Palaeolithic and Late Mesolithic it appears to have functioned as a short-term field camp aimed largely at hunting big game. The Late Palaeolithic level has a single hearth with anvil stones nearby and surrounded by concentrations of intensively processed deer bones.
