Charis focused her research on traditional birthing methods of the women of Baraulu Village and examined the cultural perceptions of newly available Western forms of contraception


Edward Mulagi

Edward examined the indigenous education of Roviana and how it could be linked to better classroom learning.


Gary Dale Benjamin
Gary investigated logging practices in Roviana and the distribution of logging royalties in Baraulu.

Nicole Probst
Tanya DeCambra and Nicole worked together on a joint project investigating the distribution of Papamaho (Hammer Oysters) and creating habitat maps.

Miki’ala Souza

Miki’ala’s project was based generally on Roviana art, and more specifically on carving techniques and designs.

Sharon explored the role of women in Baraulu and family dynamics.
