2006 students and staff

Program Dates: June 15-July 20, 2006

The Pacific Islands Field Training Program is intended for students of Pacific Island descent, although students of all backgrounds will be considered and are encouraged to apply. There is no application fee and if you are accepted you will be contacted to discuss travel arrangements. Airfare will be paid for by the Pacific Islands Training Program, but plan on bringing spending money for outings, souvenirs, and gifts for your host family.

If you are interested in applying, please submit the following:

1. Application (pdf format)
2. Waiver (pdf format)
3. Two letters of recommendation
4. Proof of medical insurance (photocopy of valid insurance card is sufficient)
5. Copy of university transcript (unofficial versions are sufficient)
6. Read the consular information sheet on the Solomon Islands as provided by the US
Dept of State here.

Applicants will be notified of admissions decisions by April 15, 2006. Some applicants may be contacted for telephone interviews, or personal interviews if possible.
