Excavated from 1981 to 1987, this site sits on the former lakeshore and
contains alternating deposits of peat and sand. The peat deposits contain
materials discarded into the lake from occupations upslope, whereas the sand
contains materials deposited directly on former beaches.
Numerous bones were found in all levels, and antler was particularly abundant in the Late Mesolithic deposits. The site seems to have served as a residential base during the Late Palaeolithic and Mesolithic.
