UCSB Engineering

Our 146 faculty members represent an amazing diversity of interests, experiences and achievements. Some are Nobel Laureates, known virtually wherever they go for their contributions to engineering and science. Some are considered "early career" faculty, many of whom have already been lauded as most likely to become academic leaders. Most of our faculty is involved in interdisciplinary research and teaching, working closely with others in related disciplines to discover great things.

At the College of Engineering, the faculty works closely with undergraduate and graduate students to help ensure the students' ability to apply theoretical knowledge to challenging problems.
