2009 Conference on Mesoamerica, Continuity and Change in Mesoamerican History, From the Pre-Classic to the Colonial Era. May 15-16, 2009, California State University, Los Angeles.
Covers a number of topics, including the Maya Ballgame, religious symbolism and ritual, Maya writing (including a workshop!) Attend at least 1 session and a featured speaker lecture. Note that the film Breaking the Maya Code wil be shown in class and therefore does NOT count towards the extra credit.
