ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Human Quest, parts I and II have been put on reserve. The tape is available to be checked out for viewing for up to 2 hours.


Experimental surveys and computer tutorial handouts were distributed and discussed in section Week 5. During week five some students had trouble with their logins/passwords, this was mostly due to a problem with the server and has been resolved. Please attempt to log in again if you had trouble. Remember, you can only log in once, after that your session will expire. Breast feeding surveys, which need to be dis-attached from the online-survey front page, are due in the TAs mailbox before lecture on Feb 16th.

The will be a review of topics from lecture and readings during Monday and Wednesday sections of Week 6, (Friday sections recieved a mini-review after discussing experiments and tutorials on Feb 4th). Friday section's students are welcome to attend Monday and/or Wednesday sections of week 6 for additional review. The review notes that will be used in sections can also be downloaded here: ANTH7mtreview05.doc

Week 7: section time will be devoted to midterm review, results will be returned, and handouts will also include Problem Set #1: Sexual Selection Theory , downloadable here aswell. Problem Sets are due in section of week 8. Credit will no longer be given for any survey work completed or handed in after 5PM this Feb 16th (the beginning of lecture).

Week 8: Monday section will not be held this Presidents' day. Students in Monday's section are encouraged to attend Wednesday or Friday sections this week. Problem Set 1 is dues in section this week, where we will review it.. Monday sections have until section of the 28th to turn in their Problem Set 1(along with PS2). Problem Set 2: Kin Selection, downloadable here, is handed out in section this week. PS2 is due for all sections during week 9.

The alternative assignment, downloadable here, will also be distributed during section
for those who did not recieve credit for experiments due prior to lecture Feb 16th.

Week 9: Problem Set 2 is due this week in sections and will be reviewed. Problem Set 3: Risk Pooling/Food Sharing, downloadable here,
is due next week, students in sections are told to download this. Alternative assignment instructions are also available in sections this week.

Week 10: Problem Set 3 is due this week in sections and will be reviewed. Brief papers (as alternatives to experiment participation/credit)
will be due in section and discussed.

Important clarifications on assignment and problem set policy: Problem sets must be turned in, in person, during sections, the week they are due for credit (they will not be accepted when turned in during lecture or to TA/Prof mailboxes). computer Tutorials are to be turned in to TA mailbox and MUST BE TYPED.
