COMPUTER TUTORIAL INFORMATION

After January 25th, a series of three computer exercises ("Langur," "Bat," and "Incest") will be installed on PC computers in all of the Instructional Computing labs. A list of labs and lab locations can be found at http://www.ic.ucsb.edu/students/labs To use these labs you will need to login with the UCSBnetID and password using the IC lab Sign-in application on station's desktop when using IC labs during open hours.

The path to get to the program is as follows:
1. Double click on the Classes folder on the Desktop
2. Double click on the "EvolSoft" folder
3. Double click the application you want to run
    a. LANGUR.bat
    b. INCEST.bat
    c. BATS.bat

Instructions for the exercises are installed in lab PCs, and are also here:     Langur         Bat        Incest

To get credit for these exercises, you need to complete the problem sets on the Study Guide, which is installed in lab PCs and can also be downloaded HERE (to save this file, right-click your mouse over the link and select "save as" or "save target as"). Write about a half page of responses for each exercise. The assignment is to be TYPED and is due the last week of class (5pm, in the TA's [Eric Schniter's] mailbox, 2nd floor HSSB).
