The UC Santa Barbara Department of Environment Health and Safety (EH&S) assists the Department of Anthropology in meeting its obligations for compliance with State and Federal health, safety and environmental regulations through education, auditing and monitoring, technical consultation, and the provision of direct services.

Of special note for department researchers involved in laboratory work is a video/handouts/quiz package now available via the internet at: http://www.lifesci.ucsb.edu/labsafety There are two documents that provide orientation on the use of this web-based tool: a. Instructions for Administrators, b. Instructions for users.
