The software used in this course includes a Hypercard stack that allows students to test their ability to identify microwear polish on lithic tools.

Students examine high-resolution photographs of microwear polishes, and based on knowledge obtained through hands-on classroom experience, they select the material that likely created the polish:

After examining numerous photographs of various lithic tools, the student is presented with the summarized results of their self-test. These results allow the student to identify their weaknesses:
