Bio:
My research is deeply informed by my upbringing in a town on the border of the United States and Mexico, where I spent much time in my grandparents' garden. This experience sparked my long-standing interest in plants and the dynamics of cross-cultural interactions in frontier and borderland settings. I now apply these themes to the study of ancient Egypt and Nubia archaeobotany via cultural and material entanglements. Through my research, I aim to explore the similarities and differences in plant usage between Egypt and Nubia.
