The intent of the 2017 AIIC symposium is to create an opportunity for members of our community, both on campus and off campus, Native and non-Native, to give voice to their ideas, desires, and concerns for an American Indian and Indigenous Studies Program at UCSB.  The symposium planning committee has designed the agenda to include a combination of panel-like presentations and/or keynote addresses on the topic of American Indian and Indigenous education needs, which are then followed by focus group inquiries into what our community(ies) would like to see at UCSB. Whether attending virtually or in person, or just to make your voice heard on this topic, please fill out our registration form above. The symposium promises to be an engaging and unique learning experience!
